Winter Film Fest 2005 and Spring Film Fest 2006 signups
Me and Goro are heading off this one, but there's a twist. There are a bunch of big movies sitting at near- or semi-completion and some smaller ones that aren't quite ready but definitely on the way. The idea is to host the annual Winter Film Fest at its usual time, but plan another one for the overflow of major releases or not-quite-finished movies in early Spring 2006.
I've talked to most people who have a major project on the way and I'll be reaching out to directors who don't often come to the board to see how they're getting along, so most of you are aware of this already. If you seriously think you'll have time to get your project done in about a month, aren't working on a major release but would like to do a short, or are working on a major release and want to release a trailer for it, sign up for Winter 2005. If you have a major release at, above, or around 50% completion and think you can get it out in three to four months, sign up for Spring 2006. The movies I have in mind here are Powerplay Part 2 (unless it's possible for 2005!), Legacy of Saradomin, D3MONS, and Ringworld Act One (though voice actors need to get their asses in gear, this one included). This is a chance to make up for the sluggishness of 2005's releases, and counter the effect of production inertia by seeing so little progress on anything. If you sign up, I will have the whip to you on a pretty frequent basis. Anyone who signs up and then ducks out will never hear the end of it. Think of this as a good thing. The Winter Film Fest will begin on December 15th. There's no date set for the Spring Film Fest just yet. If I can get everyone's lines in by the end of this week, with some help I can get the 3DMM Game show done in about a month.
So, I'll definitely sign up if I get em. |
Denny is on right now. bpdenny on AIM. YELL AWAY
|
okay just for you, Aaron.
|
I'll definitely try and get Vigilante Part I out by Spring 2006. Whether Denny will be joining me or not is undecided so far.
|
I'll do a short for each. Snap.
|
Echondria will make the Spring show.
I'll get a full trailer out for the Wnter fest. |
If it gets finished, I'm releasing Blind Homicide in the Winter Film Fest. If not then definately the Spring one.

How I love Christmas.
Tysen Directed by Ben Rice If I get my lazy fat ass in gear it'll make the winter film fest. |
Ben, the entire point of having the two seperate fests was so that you could finish a major release for the Spring one instead of shelving it AGAIN while you make yet another short. If you have a big film in progress (which you do), use the four months to get that done so you can release it soon rather than late 2006.

I'll probably have a short film the Winter Film Fest.

I told Taco it would make the fest to make up for time while we were waiting for Derelict, in one night I managed to make up about a third of the movie before getting lazy and losing my inspiration to work on it. Since Halloween I have been slowly getting back into to the project so I can get it out for this film fest. But when I have watched a couple of good movies and get my inspiration and confidence back, you can definatley be sure that Tysen will make the Winter Film Fest. |

Gonna hold Kyle to the same standard, even though I know he'll come up with something soon as well. Make sure you're ready to be committed before signing up. |

Sorry man, but for the moment TOATM is on hiatus. Script troubles. Not to mention that I'm trying to change Tysens image for you guys but try and stick to the original design that I love so much and animating him and all the other HMCs is a total bastard job.
Maybe next year. :p [edit] OMG new avatar. |

Xmas PAM Musical. I don't think I need to tell you which FF it's aiming for :)
|
If you think you will have trouble making a deadline, LET US KNOW. We can and will try to help get you what you need to finish.
I am prepared to work very, very hard to make this a success. I just ask that you meet Aaron and I half way. Well, moreso actually, but still. |

Ahh, I love the feeling of Christmas in the air |
Okay, I'll have my NOD trailer ready for the Winter Film Fest, as long as the voice actors co-operate. I'm not that worried about Jay and Buz, I'm more concerned about Jeremy. I know he doesn't come here that often any more and he doesn't appear on AIM, so anyone who's in contact with him just drop him a note. If he doesn't contact me by next Friday, I'm going to have to find someone else.
Otherwise, yeah, I enter my Nocturne of Darkness: The Awakening trailer. |
Sanity Clause for Winter Film Fest... but let me be towards the endish of the Fest, if possible. The week of the 15th is finals week.

Groan. Now Aaron's gonna bitch at me till I start working on Tea and Crumpets.
