30,001 cubes to be exact. Took me about 15 minutes to set up. I figured if it was going to be a massive poster then I could render it at a high enough res that you'll beable to make out the individual cubes in the distance if you got close enough to the poster.

Demented Ferret 10-31-2005 11:53 AM

Seriously requesting highest res you can of it, I really like it.

Michael Jeffrey 10-31-2005 12:09 PM

What size do you want?

also do you prefer landscape or portrait?

Demented Ferret 10-31-2005 12:27 PM

Oooh, as big as you can in the ratio 1:1.41 (That's any 'A' size)- yours and Tacos look perfect for hugerising. And both portrait and landscape will work - but I think portrait would look better where I'd be using it, so whatever works best for you - I guess.

Demented Ferret 10-31-2005 12:29 PM

Doublepostzomg.

hey that ones pretty cool, but i dont think people would understand it if they went into his room lol.

Demented Ferret 10-31-2005 04:37 PM

It's still really awesome. I'll definitely have that on one of the smaller pieces.

Smiley Man 10-31-2005 05:00 PM

vectorise it?

should be easy enough and you can have A-10 or something if you want

Pirate Balloon 10-31-2005 05:22 PM

Heres my entry, I think it'll look quite good on yer wall.

Demented Ferret 10-31-2005 05:23 PM

For the love of God, no.

Smiley Man 10-31-2005 05:23 PM

I second that.

oops - not DF's post, the one above

I'll render a huge version overnight tonight... and I've got a more accurate ratio (the actual ratio turns out to be 1:square root of 2... I never knew that). Do you have any changes you want made before I do it? I can fairly easily change anything in the scene for you... materials, lighting, camera, whatever.

Just picking a resolution out of my ass... 3000x4243? How does that sound?

Qaz 10-31-2005 11:23 PM

3000x4243 = 41.447x58.931 incues

Michael Jeffrey 10-31-2005 11:35 PM

inches?

Digital Taco 10-31-2005 11:36 PM

Qaz 10-31-2005 11:55 PM
