anyone have the images of the first documented 3dmm meet up?
Just going down a nostalgia trip, and thought may as well ask if anyone still on here from the early days has managed to keep the images of the first 3dmm group meet up that was at Mitch Warrens house? From memory the images were posted on the forum but I imagine it might have been an old iteration and no history of it remains, I tried searching for a thread and couldn’t find it. Would have been the year 1998/1999/2000 not sure exactly.
I have such great memories of that era in life, 3dmm playing a big part of it. The future of the internet & tech was so exciting, I used to spend most weekends visiting Mitch where we would rent out VHS tapes & PlayStation 1 games from his local blockbuster and watch movies/ play games all night long then during the day watch 3dmm movies & come up with our own stuff. Some great memories, would really love to see the photos of his room again if anyone happens to have saved them for all this time. hope everyone is doing well! It’s pretty special that this place still exists. |
Man, I wish there were more 3DMMers in my city who weren't like 10 years older than me, so I could meet up with them. But there aren't. :(
Also, to reply to the first post: This specific board opened in 2001. Before that it was on an EZboard. If there is any content from 1998/1999/2000 that you're looking for, it's probably not gonna be easy to find. |
well there probably is plops but you've already told them to fuck off and die for using a peter griffin mod or something

Pokerman’s closer than most, perhaps you could meet up with him first. Additionally if you guys both decide to meet up in Detroit, it should be a drive under 5 hours for you. But if the drive is too long, you can still meet up with Pizza Boy Anthony. |
ITT: Long time member returns, thread suddenly becomes about Plopilpy

I honestly think that's more likely to be a picture of the next 3dmm meetup.

There was 5 people in total at the very least, the ones I remember for sure besides Mitch and myself, was Tony T, Pikios, Matt B (I think his username was?) but yeah was a proper meet up of a handful of people from the forum who had never met before. Around the same time was also a meet up in the city with somewhat same group. |
