I've been keen to do this for a while so, here goes..

Red's 3DMM Challenges

Once a month I will try and post a new challenge. These challenges will be random and you will create your own still or animated (camera pan) image in 3DMM using the word(s) or theme(s) given.
The idea behind this is to get some of you experimenting with fonts, angles etc. I want to inspire some creativity here people! Handmade characters and scenes are a must.

For this month, even though we're already well into January, the word/theme is: Egypt

You can make anything you want relating to this. A HMC, a scene.. Use your imagination!

Once you post your image, I'll edit it into the main challenge post for all to see.

Rules:

• Use only 3DMM and base expansions (3DMM Expansion, Doraemon, Nickelodeon)
• If you MUST - you can use Superdings/Coil Font etc
• No custom models or textures (minus the above Fonts^)

To help kick this off, I've created an image myself!

I won't be competing, I'll just post a new image each month with a word!

I'll pick a winner at the end of each month - we're 12 days into January already, but no need to rush!
You'll win nothing, or I'll help you make some mods, help with your movie/script or something.

Okay, Hans, I think that looks a lot better than your previous attempts at handmade scenery but:

1. Get rid of the floating L's in the sky and just use two parentheses for seagulls (if seagulls are what those L's are supposed to be). Seriously a random L in the sky looks really bad compared to a proper attempt at that 3D text look.

2. What's with the weird sphere graphic on the sign? That's the thing, you have this style and sometimes it looks good but having random repeating spheres that are unrecognizable at what they're supposed to be is just bad design. I've told this to you several times, but each time you don't read and instead stick to that look and instead beat yourself up. Don't beat yourself up, listen to why we tell you it looks bad and then your stuff will look better.

Understood, I was using vanilla 3DMM to make the scene because of the thread's rules and I was trying to make the spheres represent quicksand.

That's awesome! Not gonna lie, I wasn't too impressed with the early stages you posted in the discord, but the finished product looks great!
