The Mad Man

Damn you Pizza Luigi! I was expecting a sub-par release, given how your first film was quite mediocre, however I was thoroughly impressed upon watching "The Mad Man". The film has some slight rough patches, but overall it's a HUGE improvement from Luigi's first animation.

Animation: 70%

This movie has some flawed animation, but it's overall pretty fluid and definitely an acceptable performance. Some things could've been polished, such as some of the animations of movement, but it's still smooth enough to pass in my book. Certain pieces were a tad lazy, such as the effect of the statue falling over. That scene could've had some background effects to show it panning, but it's no big deal. I laughed at the style of how all characters had that signature "bouncy" style. Overall, this has a 70 percent in terms of animation.

Story: 85%

The story of this flick is pretty nice! It's not really too interesting, for example for the most part it's just driving and action sequences, but I laughed out loud a couple times. Bongo getting stuck in the car window was funny, and the overall personalities of each character were mostly unique! I liked the concept of the two characters being kinda "awkward". I'll give the story an 85 percent.

Voice acting: 90%
The voice acting is the defining part of this movie. Luigi had a good grasp on how to shift his tone and form, to create a sense of variety between characters. Gustave's voice was my favourite of the bunch, with how much he sounded like some silly weird guy who'd live out in a cabin in the woods. The two main characters (Alexander and Bongo) were nice, I liked that Luigi still paid attention and gave them some variety. Additionally, the other sound effects were well timed and created some good noise to fill the otherwise silent spots in this movie. Overall, very nicely done! 90 percent.

TO CONCLUDE

I was quite pleased with this movie. I am glad that Luigi actually tried, which brought some variety to the otherwise shit movie showcase these days. Very nice!

Overall score: 80%

unnecessary dig at other beginner filmmakers on that last sentence, but nice review

Haha I interpreted that as a reference to the actual movie showcase's current rotation.

Anyway, this is a pretty decently written review, although I'm fairly shocked that you thought it went Voice Acting > Story > Animation. If anything, I would have put it in the exact opposite order. To each, his own, I suppose.

What Old Rivers said. It's either something acceptable or spam/low effort crap.

Lhh that is not what I said. I said that I thought you were referring to the quality of the movies currently in the actual showcase, meaning The Renegades, Cat Bones, and The Plopilpy Murder Showcase.

Very well written review I’m surprised you liked the voices so much

Hahah I must be tired, it took me a couple hours to actually understand what you meant.
