Sacrifice in Greenville

1 Attachment(s)

Made for Ding Dong's Halloween Film Festival.

This is a sequel to Trouble in Greenville, which I made for the other film festival back in February. I recommend watching TiG before watching this one. You can check it out here.

Special thanks to Phil Williamson and Plopilpy.

This film was great.
Following the events of Trouble in Greenville, the scenery is amazing and that handmade character (or I should say, statue) at the end was wonderful.

yes

Awesome movie, definite old-school feel here. I loled at the evil laugh gag.

I liked the animations of hell collapsing, and just the general little moving scene details and whatnot. It's not a maximum effort type of thing, but the subtle familiar tricks-of-the-trade are used to good effect here. Something about this just has really comfy vibes.

Statue at the end is great

I don't want to sound like a bitch, but I was kinda hoping more people would comment on this...

I watched this the other day along with the first one, they were enjoyable! The portal to hell got a big chuckle out of me as well as your voice acting for the sebastian character, I dunno if it's intentional but it kinda sounds like you're doing a text to speech impression with him and I love it

This made me smile. I like the fight in the background. Samurai Clinton lines were good. The ending was sad, I almost cried.

Plopilpy 11-11-2020 10:40 PM

If I had anything to improve on, it would be the Clinton lines. in the first film, Clinton sounds slightly congested or nasally. maybe try plugging your nose?

Dašarath 11-12-2020 07:34 AM

the jokes were funny. the animation was great as shit. really this is just a great movie. i rate it 4 portals to hell out of 5

Plopilpy 11-12-2020 12:27 PM

indeed.

topztehboi 11-18-2020 07:17 PM

Plopilpy 11-18-2020 07:33 PM

Not bad, got a couple chuckles out of me though I kind of was hoping for a bit more. Story was decent and I liked the voice acting. Definitely got the old school feel like compcat mentioned.

I think I’m more of a fan of the weird abstract vibe you had in “homer gets a salad wrap” though.

Brossy 11-26-2020 03:07 PM

Should I watch this?

Does it need prequel watches to make sense?

Plopilpy 11-26-2020 03:08 PM

yes. Watch Trouble In Greenville first

topztehboi 11-26-2020 04:33 PM

Yeah, just watch this one first. It's only three minutes. Also it's important to know that the whole plot of the first one is a Samurai Clinton reference and the fat guy's lines are just various sound clips of Clinton from a couple different sources.

Haha basically. The first movie was made on my crappy old laptop, which has a really lousy microphone that only picks up the audio if you talk extremely loudly and clearly. So my Sebastian character ended up sounding like a text-to-speech voice because any normal voice wouldn't come through right (it's also why the Michael character bellows all of his lines). However, by the time I made this one (with a better computer and a proper microphone), I was so attached to the old voices that I kept them anyway.

Well it's INTERESTING THAT YOU SAY THAT because Homer Simpson Gets a Salad Wrap was based on a plot outline that Patrykkorna sent me, asking if I could make it into a movie. Then later, after I made Sacrifice in Greenville, he sent me a script he wrote for a new Greenville movie called Nightmare in Greenville that was weird and abstract. Perhaps I should make that one some day.

I can write Bathroom Sex Scandal In Greenville, in honour of Leonard
