are the old Samurai Clinton dancing videos gone?

i wanted to watch the one where he dances to one of those sonic songs. all i can find now is the parody video:

Old Rivers 06-25-2017 09:20 PM

Is that a 3dmmer? Both of the comments are by 3dmmers.

Dungeon Snake 06-25-2017 09:41 PM

lol zach doebels has a youtube channel where he's been uploading videos of himself playing video games for years. and he only has 11 followers :lol

Mr Mong 06-25-2017 09:43 PM

Really? Fucking hell doesn't the guy know he needs to get his bloody nose out for those sweet twitch donations?

Dungeon Snake 06-25-2017 09:51 PM

also generally to become popular for playing video games you need to have some shred of charm or personality and also be good at video games

Slime 06-25-2017 10:03 PM

you only really need one or the other, a lot of top streamers aren't very good but people watch just for their personality

what is his channel?
edit: ohh i see its one of the comments

i dont think so, 3dmmers commented cause we posted the video here a long time ago, but i think its some random guy that saw clinton elsewhere

of all the things on youtube that completely baffle me, the popularity of watching videos of other people playing video games is one of the most baffling. it seems like it's for the kinds of people who would go to their friend's house in middle school and would be totally fine with their friend just playing video games and making them watch.

I think the silent longplays with no talking is good because it replaces demos and is useful for keeping footage of older rare games.

well there's the 2 types

people that are good at video games make sense to me. i'm very competitive in games, and i learn tips from people better than me. i'll only watch them enough to pick up tips to use in-game, i don't just sit there watching them for fun. a lot of people play games competitively since most popular games have player rankings that everyone wants to climb, so this is very popular

the other type is people that are just entertaining (this is probably the most popular overall). imo, people watch these to feel like they're hanging out with a friend. people will watch these for hours, in place of watching TV shows, to be part of this crew that is all hanging out, playing games, commenting in the chat interacting with the streamer, etc. these streamers often start talking about random stuff while playing, so you're mostly following the personality. they also will stop gaming to watch youtube videos together etc at times. its hanging out. also people check these to see what a game is like before they buy it.

a lot of these people are primarily on Twitch and also upload to Youtube, so you might be missing part of the picture without being part of their livestream

I like watching game playthrus because it means I dont have to put effort into buying and beating the game. That shit is exhaustive, my dude.

Bobby Swisha 06-25-2017 10:50 PM

this is a GREAT playthrough. you must watch all four hours to truly appreciate it

Bobby Swisha 06-25-2017 11:06 PM

wow i actually had no idea there was a sonic fighter. some cool stuff in this

Compcat 06-26-2017 01:03 AM

I'll watch them for games that are more open-ended, only if the person doing the video is interesting or entertaining in some way. I definitely don't understand it for any kind linear story-based game, but let's plays of games like Minecraft, Sims, Second Life, etc. can be entertaining. Just recently I watched this whole thing, which though very little happens, is entertaining largely because of the good narration. Also it's not a game I ever plan on playing so it's cool to get a glimpse of what it's like.

I'm actually a lot more interested in watching videos of people who are bad at the games they're playing, or at least very unfamiliar with it.

we should've been archiving 3dmmer youtube videos all these years. this isn't the first time some great videos were lost. (other examples: Lohr's 3dmm.com commercial, AR-Raven in the bathtub with his clothes and sneakers on)

Old Rivers 06-26-2017 05:28 PM

Aw shit, didn't realize Lohr's 3dmm.com ad was gone.

"We've got a STATS PAGE!"

There's also a 2d sonic arcade game called segasonic that used a trackball and was three players I think.

Slime 06-26-2017 09:02 PM

ah that sucks i actually didn't know the 3dmm commercial was gone (or i forgot it was), thought only my Most Immature 3DMM was gone

Slime 06-26-2017 09:48 PM

a lot of Jerma's videos make me laugh, actually when he is being funny i laugh more at his videos than most other stuff online. it just gets so stupid. i think he's pretty much the only videogame guy i watch for the personality every so often

Eukos 06-26-2017 10:38 PM

the only sonic I'm playin (if you know what I'm SAYINNN)

Bobby Swisha 06-27-2017 03:57 AM

Here, here!

It's weird to me, but I understand the majority of the human race are more sheep in humans clothes.

I don't watch the action.

I am the action.

French Fry 06-28-2017 05:13 AM

I am the night.

I am BATMAN.

Commander Bob 06-30-2017 06:12 PM

More like Bran Man.

Work in-joke that I may sure everyone gets...

Old Rivers 06-30-2017 06:27 PM

I'm sure Dino gets it.
