i talk from personal experience, i've spent an entire summer period working on the same movie before, it felt great to finally finish it but god did i feel like such a lazy turd afterwards, i just felt like i'd wasted my entire summer. it's cool you care man, it shows in your work but you should have better things to strive for than being a great 3dmmer

On one hand, you are right. I do need another hobbie, I wish I could go ahead and learn a different kind of movie creator, and one less limited. But I still play 3dmm, because its easy, fun, and I still own alot of nostalgia towards it.
On the other hand, you are wrong. I also have my after-school practices for a hobby, technically all hobbies dont really have any practical points like Phil said, and above all I think if I am still having fun from playing 3dmm, then I should still hold on to it. For a little longer. Sorry to hear you felt lazy after wasting a summer playing 3dmm, but I get alot of benefit from every movie I make because the people I surround myself with, including my family, all love this shit. All in all its low color quality, 5 FPS, glory.
