lol The ending was so abrupt, but the rest of it was great. Probably the best you've done.

Not me man, I devote as much time as I possibly can with 3dmm. The only things that hold me back is other people using this computer, or whenever I have practice.

Broken Pencil 02-28-2014 01:49 AM

Hello, buttnife! anyways, he's too lazy to put up the .vmm. I asked him on 10 ways to kill em', and he said "way too many expansions". As for tutorials, he has a few:
I remember a gun one but that's it. in case you need any more good tutorials, I recommend these: ,http://www.3dmm.com/showthread.php?t=17751 and http://3dmm.com/showthread.php?t=18327, Hope this helps!

Well yeah, only for the time being though. I dont really have anything to do at the moment. I have fun with this so I devote alot of time to it, but I have been doing it less because of my practices.

I just said the same thing didn't I?

Ben Rice 02-28-2014 03:58 PM

you just confirmed that you need another hobby. i'm not trying to rain on your current streak, you've made some cool stuff recently but you're 17, it's 2014 and it's not exactly healthy to devote that much time into 3dmm, nor care about it as much as you do.

i talk from personal experience, i've spent an entire summer period working on the same movie before, it felt great to finally finish it but god did i feel like such a lazy turd afterwards, i just felt like i'd wasted my entire summer. it's cool you care man, it shows in your work but you should have better things to strive for than being a great 3dmmer

Phil Williamson 02-28-2014 06:42 PM

why? pretty much all hobbies are pointless in and of themselves. if they teach you any kind of transferable skills at least, as 3dmm does, then I'd say it's a good enough hobby. especially if the alternative is going steampunk LARPing

Dustin Guest 03-01-2014 12:40 AM

3dmm is a pretty good creative outlet. There really is nothing out there that I can competently animate with the way I can with 3dmm. Sometimes getting those ideas out is enough.

On one hand, you are right. I do need another hobbie, I wish I could go ahead and learn a different kind of movie creator, and one less limited. But I still play 3dmm, because its easy, fun, and I still own alot of nostalgia towards it.

On the other hand, you are wrong. I also have my after-school practices for a hobby, technically all hobbies dont really have any practical points like Phil said, and above all I think if I am still having fun from playing 3dmm, then I should still hold on to it. For a little longer. Sorry to hear you felt lazy after wasting a summer playing 3dmm, but I get alot of benefit from every movie I make because the people I surround myself with, including my family, all love this shit. All in all its low color quality, 5 FPS, glory.
