When he breakdanced in front of Augustin, augustin was so impressed, that he gave him a free meal (it came in zack's dismembered head from Brock Obama vs. Zack. Then, he got drunk and crashed into an old man's cottage. Now do you get it?

Broken Pencil 01-11-2014 08:20 PM

ahaha, what? %15 is a bit low, but ok.
alright, %20 percent. NOW where getting somewhere!

Jt Copper 01-12-2014 01:10 AM

I rated 70% only because compared to your other work, this was really good. Though I feel that you are trying to mimic my comedic form of style. It kinda has all the blocking points of an average Marcy episode.

Jt Copper 01-12-2014 01:10 AM

Also, finish Operation Vortex part two you twit.

I was actually trying to go on a scale of "random" and small plot (as if it were a small short)

hahaha, now I'm thinking of doing a remake (the first was pretty sucky in my oppinion because of how slowly pasted it was) with both parts. But I'll need voice actors, *cough cough Jt Copper cough cough*.

Jt Copper 01-12-2014 02:33 AM

Yeah yeah, my 7Gen is still busted so I got free time on my hands. Just let me know when you get there.

Compcat 01-12-2014 03:21 AM

Not too bad. It's obvious this was just the result of messing around and trying different stuff, but nothing wrong with that. You'll get better responses when you've put some more effort into a cohesive story and some more original style, but this is good practice in getting to that point.

Good use of scene props. They're efficient, easy to animate, and aren't cloyingly familiar like default scenes. That said, you should try making some detailed handmade scenery, as it's somewhat necessary to making a great movie.

I'm going to have to agree with Copper that the style is similar to his (I actually wondered whether Copper was helping make it). I don't think that's a problem though; you got to start by emulating someone. But Pencil, I think you should try to get into some of the older 3dmm movies in the archive. I think you'll find a lot of them quite entertaining, and just by developing your interest in other 3dmm films you'll start to develop your own voice within the medium. You're on a good track right now though.

Jt Copper 01-12-2014 04:15 AM

^Fucking this^

And yeah man, try molding your on style around older and far more advanced 3dmmer's next time. I appreciate you look up to me and find me as an A-list 3DMMer, but no. I am still far from that status, I am not a veteran...

Not yet.

its hard to keep up with all those flashes and stuff though, try to put some effort in your movies :) other than flashing the scenes and jumpcutting, but i cant give that advice, since no one knows me and i joined the site a year ago.

Theflyingcar 01-12-2014 11:23 AM

Yeah, I should just focus on more story rather then animation

Dustin Guest 01-13-2014 06:21 PM

I look forward to the day when your sense of humor develops beyond "lol random". You ARE improving, though. I'm not saying you need to produce fucking Shakespeare, but a beginning, middle, and end would be nice. Rather than "show up, dance, give guy a severed head, car crash, end." Definitely check out some older 3d movies. There are lots of good comedic shorts than can help you learn how to put together a comedic movie and maybe find your own voice. Also...you really need to stop concerning yourself with percentages and focus more on the criticisms. You're not to a point where percentages should matter. And complaining about someone not rating your movie as highly as you think it should be rated is just...tacky. Don't be that guy.

Jt Copper 01-13-2014 10:10 PM

I strongly recommend Michael Sandford. Young, full of talent, definatly someone your age should look on. After nine years, and his movies still hasn't aged. Honestly some of your work aged after the first day.

Not saying my work ages though. Mine aged like fucking milk. :buh

Ben Rice 01-14-2014 04:29 AM

it hasn't been nine years

Broken Pencil 01-14-2014 11:28 AM

I watched Bongo by Michael Sandford, and the ending was hilarious! and the animation was really cool. Damn, Michael got-some good gun models goin' on in dat' movie! the music also fit very well with the whole "kill some people, get some (more) weapons, get the money, goto the doctor, penis enlargement (by a billion)"

Wait a minute... I think I know what people want me to do!

MAKE MY MOVIES lONGAR!

Tuna Hematoma 01-14-2014 06:19 PM
