A PSA about seizures
1 Attachment(s)
I had an ongoing obsession with Nunica, MI, so I made a PSA that's set in Nunica. I also idolize Pete Hoekstra as a great politician from the area around Muskegon, in which Nunica is 10 miles southeast from just off I-96.
Another in-joke was placed in there regarding a day of the month and a certain year that October has a special day on other than Halloween. I'd also like to say that this is one of my first scripted short subjects. I wrote down the lines and used a studio condenser mike to give good dialogue. Another intriguing aspect of this is that one of the chair croaking sounds produced in the computer chair was captured in the studio condenser mike, and was used as the sound effect for the stretcher scene. |
that was awful clinton. the animation was awful, the sets were extraordinarily noobish, and you have to accept that nobody is going to take this PSA seriously.
edit: but an improvement nonetheless, keep working on it. |

It's better than your usual stuff Clinton, in that it's at least original. More custom scenery and maybe a plot that more of us could could relate to (such as a story, rather than a psa) would get some more positive feedback though. I think A Voyage to Planet Nisa probably fulfilled this latter quality the best out of all your movies. You should make more like that, not necessarily sci-fi, but just telling an original story (and hopefully with decent voice acting and custom scenery).

it's an important message to those who suffer from seizures |

![]() And ya know, the default scenery was such a faithful representation of the locations the actions too place, in which is why I opted to use some of it, and besides I did chromakeying to change the skyline of the Misty City because I could, and that I placed a sign that said "Muskegon Hospital" on the mall entrance since I think it was a faithful enough set for a hospital entrance. |
Nisa Nelson doesn't appreciate the reference :(
Although I did laugh when it cut to the hospital and Larry Craig was there. |
better than most of your movies! it was nice that the point of this was to tell a story (even though it was in the context of a "PSA")and not just to showcase some awful post-production effects or to spoof or copy something. some more effort on the animations would have still been nice, but yeah, do more like this.

I think you're misunderstanding me - this movie would have been better if it had not been a PSA. The PSA aspect hurt it. I'm saying that, because it also contained a coherent story, it was reasonably good DESPITE (not because of) being a PSA.
