Obama vs. Romney

The 2012 general election is around the corner, so I figure it's time to open a thread about it hooray.

There are a few general sentiments about Obama and Romney floating around, so let's talk about them in a way only us 3dmmers can. You know what I mean. Angry Andres and angry Evan and angry Zaquis and angry everybody else.

So, Obama's first term: A success or failure? Maybe just okay? What do you think?

Romney's platform: Brilliant? Bullshit? Vapid? Let's hear it!

I'll post my feelings a bit later when some people have replied!

Zaquis 09-01-2012 11:43 PM

who cares obama's gonna win anyway and this election is so boring compared to 2008

Zaquis 09-01-2012 11:44 PM

i mean romney is comically awful but it's not like i have any faith in obama so whatev. let's make out

Evan 09-01-2012 11:54 PM

It's like a double cheeseburger at mcdonalds or burger king, they both suck.

i'm probably not voting and if i am it'll be for whoever the working families party runs

I view Obama as the lesser or two evils. He seems OK on domestic issues... and I am really unsure how much he is to blame for the still anemic economy.

Nothing's going to change in the middle east, whomever we elect.

Romney is the embodiment of the 1%. I have no idea what his beliefs are, since he flip-flops whenever it's politically convenient. So I suspect he has no beliefs. He's really like the perfect android politician.

What congressional district are you in? Also, local elections and ballot propositions if there are any.

Slime 09-02-2012 07:23 AM

Jonny Anson 09-02-2012 08:58 AM

I feel like a lot of liberals/left leaning people are planning on voting third party, and all that's going to do, (if anything)is split the votes and get Romney elected

Bobby Swisha 09-02-2012 11:38 AM

i think Ron Paul should be president.

If every person eligible to vote (I think in 2008 it was something like 68% of eligible voters voted, and it's projected to be much lower this time around) that may be able to swing some states and swing an election!

Bobby Swisha 09-02-2012 08:44 PM

yeah. but we know that's not going to happen. tom I don't mean to attack you but your posts in this thread are really dumb, are you just trolling?
