Fox and Dish network in a dispute.

So this morning at 12:00am, Fox channels stopped working on Dish TV.

The companies are fighting with each other over a price increase that fox is trying to force.
Dish is saying that Fox is bullying them and have pulled out the channels before the contract was done/before negotiations were done.
Fox is saying that Dish refuses to pay what they owe already.

Both have setup websites basically slandering the other.

I heard this via my workplace because I work for a cable company and they wanted to let us know because they expect people will be switching due to this.

Since I don't like Dish and Fox is root of most evil in the country, needless to say I'm giddy.

Yeah seems like a dumb move on Dish Network's part. A lot of people are gonna be pissed at them and switch to another provider. But really companies like that get bullied by networks and such all the time and can't do much about it cause they know they won't pull their channel off the air.

In this case they did, but I doubt they'll get much support, most people don't have much loyalty to their cable company. If I was a subscriber I would say "Good for them" but be pissed that they pulled my channels off the air.

It's dumb for Dish to do this, but at the same time, Fox is pretty much the most horrible network ever.

I don't even really watch TV anymore..
PLUS I HAVE COX CABLE.

These greedy battles between the providers and the networks happen all the time, and it's become a trend in recent years to pull the consumers into the fight. I just find that despicable corporate policy, and it's caused me to become really jaded against much of the television industry. I'd love to just move up into the mountains someplace if it weren't for the fact that I'd miss Survivor.

But if you lived in the mountains you could put on your own survivor.

Dish network: Look, you may not have Fox news anymore, but if you switch over to Cox communications, you have to deal with this faggot:

I've noticed the same thing here. A couple of years ago Sky (basically Fox's UK arm) had a fight with Virgin Media over what stuff they would provide, and both companies ended up publishing full page ads in newspapers explaining why THEY were the perfect and wonderful saints and why their rivals were horrible terrible people and how oh we TRIED to negotiate with them but they JUST wouldn't listen what mean people they are to you and that's why you're missing 24 this week.

Actually, "Digital Max" isn't used anymore, it's now the "Cox Digis."

Best part is the Digi dancing the Soulja Boi.

I would like to see the digi's with a more badass look....

Actually... They are trying to push that back because I am buying a house... So they are using the excuse that "it's a waste of time to inspect your apartment then inspect the house." But really it's my supervisor being a lazy.
