Kale Monster 01-01-2009 05:05 AM

Yeah, 2008 was pretty fucking rad for me, too.

Damage Jackal 01-01-2009 05:10 AM

2008 was a terrible year for sports teams i follow

Evil Ash 01-01-2009 05:12 AM

WOOOOOOOOOOOO

Gavin Owers 01-01-2009 05:38 AM

Eh, 2008 was alright for me. Nothing spectacular.

Aaron Haynes 01-01-2009 05:50 AM

Sucked. Wasted too much time. Not social enough. Don't like the circles of friends I have around me. Should stop wasting so much time.

Also, George Carlin died. Fuck 2008.

Breed 01-01-2009 06:02 AM

*FINALLY JOINS YOU ALL IN 2009*

Slime 01-01-2009 09:47 AM

2008 was dumb

Scatterbrain 01-01-2009 12:22 PM

i didn't get the demo/EP/whatever i wanted to do finished :( got to finish two songs to put in an application to play on a small-time stage at glastonbury this year too!

2009 should be good music wise. my course is going well at uni, just finishing up an essay on My Bloody Valentine's "Loveless" which has been great fun writing, I'm doing some session work for my friend's Dad on his next CD (dunno if you'll have heard of him but his biggest thing is probably Goin' Down Town Tonight which he wrote for Status Quo.
Also going to be making music with these two other guys which should be good. One of them's this guitar player/teacher who heard my 60-minute contest entries and thought they sounded good so wants to make some music that doesn't take itself too seriously and is just some fun on the side from his death metal stuff haha

and i need to fucking QUIT MY JOB!!!!

Mikepjbell 01-01-2009 01:37 PM

2008 for me was:
1: My car being stolen, and then burnt.
2: Financial trouble.
3: Finding out I had to re-take some of my first year of University.
4: My Dad forgetting my 21st Birthday and then having the audacity to ask me how old I was when I reminded him of my Birthday.
5: Being depresed on my 21st Birthday, of all Birthdays :(

Dominator Dan 01-01-2009 02:06 PM

2008 is easilly the worst year i've experienced to date but i have a good feeling about this year, DON'T LET ME DOWN BLUR

Scatterbrain 01-01-2009 03:55 PM

Blur are gonna rock. Camping next to you at Glastonbury is not.

Flounder 01-01-2009 04:36 PM

Blur sucks.

Ben Rice 01-01-2009 05:17 PM

Plenty of bad things happened to me this year and it's kinda made me grow up abit. I've had alot of fun this year, went to Reading and saw loads of fucking brilliant bands including Rage Against The Machine, Metallica and Tenacious D, some great gigs seperate this year including Foo Fighters, Slipknot, Velvet Revolver (last ever UK gig shortly before Scott Weiland left) and The Who.
I've been a little more mature, managed to lose alot of weight and have been doing quite well in college.

Had my share of bad shit aswell, got caught by the police twice in possesion of weed, one or two bad drug/alcohol experiences and a few near death experiences, lost contact with old friends.

I look forward to 2009, let's hope it'll a good year.

My grandmother and great aunt on my dad's side died. I wasted so much time and effort at a job that deep down I really had grown to hate. I became so stressed out because of my job that I lost focus on everything that mattered in my life even to the point of neglect. My love life went from a high early on to crashing down and back up again. I quit my job for something less stressful. I'm broke half the time but I'm much happier. I regained focus and am setting foundations and making plans for my future. I look forward to this year.

The New England Patriots in 2008 were the best team to ever lose a Super Bowl and the best team to ever not make the playoffs.

Devastating.

I'm trying to figure out a way you've broken the rules with this post so I can ban you for it.

But as a falcons fan. I for one, am happy.

Air Rick 01-01-2009 08:40 PM

2008 was just the trough of a wave, really. 2009 should be a crest.

especially with my resolutions all in check.
