Rebirth of 3dmm
3 Attachment(s)
I don't know if you guys are aware of this, but on the 23 December 2000, an asteriod almost hit Earth. A near miss is what they are calling it.
Oddly enough, we only heard about it after it pass and it had no threat to Earth... we didn't receive any warning before hand. When my family and I were eating dinner, and we heard this news report. There was silence on the table, we didn't eat anything or said a word for a minute. I had a serious think to myself that, that could of been the one that ended us... seriously. If it were any closer, could of just been well been. I excused myself from the table, and just sat outside my house, gazing up at the stars. Wondering if the world died, what'll happen... My short movie is about that, it's explorers what'll happen if the asteriod was on a collison course with Earth. I also imagined what a couple of other 3dmm directors what be thinking at same moment the asteriod hits. Have a think about it. Astromers say that odds are that an Asteriod would hit Earth is 'Once in a lifttime'. This isn't some pipedream. It has happen once before, it can very well happen again in our lifetimes. Load up Rebirth of 3dmm, and ask yourself... what will you be thinking on 'The Day'. |
Hey, just thought I'd post this on Adrian's behalf. First movie added to the new database! Fitting?
|
Haha, indeed. Where did you find the comments?
An amazing work, especially for its day. Animation isn't at Adrian's best; instead his cinematography takes the center stage. There are a handful of unforgettable scenes in this movie's short runtime, and it was probably one of the deeper movies made during its arrival period. The bonuses, such as character bio's and other such cookies are scattered throughout, providing enough to keep you captivated for watch after watch. Gued schtuffs. |
Been meaning to review this and Showdown for a long time. Over the break perhaps.
|
That was last week, d00d
|
Over the NEXT break. Finals start tomorrow for us. Don't even have time to post here, which I'm stupidy doing anyway.
|

Every single scene in nearly every 3dmm movie uses default scenery, the black scene and the sky scene, all default.. Who cares.. He at least makes his own scenery.. And is way better than you! :p |
I'm going to give the benefit of the doubt here and assume that he meant it was all default 3dmm props. i.e. no expansions.
By the way. Finally got round to tracking down the music. It's one of my favourate 3dmm themes just now. |

I recently came across an MP3 of the music for this: QFG5 - 02 - The Dance of Mystery and Intrigue. Definitely took me way back. Serious nostalgia trip.
