EDIT: Wow, that was really great, powerful stuff. I admit having previously read the script I was a little worried about how it'd translate to 3dmm but I think it worked really well. The voice acting was good, scenery was very nice (Aside from a couple of "edge of the world" shots with the water, but they couldn't really be helped.), and the writing and directing was, of course, sublime.

SPOILERS BIT: That bit with the live action footage looked incredible! That was a really good idea that worked amazingly well. Also, the only real problem I had with the film was the models. They mostly looked the part, I suppose, but the sunglasses on The Man in White looked a bit out of place, as well as some actions where they were obviously designed to be holding guns. You got around that well for the most part, though.

That was really good! The brief description enticed me immediately, and the movie definitely lived up to it.

The direction was excellent (particularly the very last shot before the credits), the music was great, and the use of v3dmm for the real life clips of soldiers at war was just so effective. Everything was really neatly put together. Whilst one or two of the model character animations were a little off, some others worked really well. And yeah, haha, I did notice that downside to using greyscale that you mentioned, but not focusing on it worked wonders.

I'll be honest and say that the dialogue confused me a bit (and that I swear one of those voice actors sounded just like Jaymond in a lower pitch), but nonetheless I understood the overall plot. Very creative and original, every line of dialogue (that I understood) was intriguing. It never felt like I was watching it simply to get to the end and close 3dmm.

Soooo yep, another wonderfully polished piece of 3dmm excellence here. Glad you finally finished it, man.

This was... beautiful, which is real strange for 3dmm as I'm sure you'll agree. Didn't really get the 'gist' of it as maybe you intended, but goddamn was this perty-lookin'. The suit actors, despite the fact that they obviously looked like they shoulda been holding guns, carried what is basically an eleven-minute talking scene real well, and to their credit they were so much more effective than if you just had the regular actors on 'talk' animation for the whole thing (In which case I may have killed myself).

Also, those guys are totally getting it on. You could cut the sexual tension with a knife.

Definably the best ALL v3dmm movie ever.
You really know how to take advantage of the expansion, Mr. Barton.
Also, great job Z-man and Jaymond on the voice acting, you did an awesome job.

The writing kinda went over my head, but then again, I'm a simple man.

That was beautiful. One of the coolest movies ever! I totally love the whole aspect of the angel and devil thing. The soundtrack was great. Scenery and cinematography was excellent! I understand now what you meant with the war pictures, that was well done might I add. Good work, Jon! This is by far my favorite among your movies. :)

I've been waiting for someone to use v3dmm to insert live action footage into 3dmm. I got a vague plot/idea from the whole thing, and from reading these posts, I'm starting to understand a little bit more about the true nature of this movie. However, I still don't completely get it. If nothing else, though, it did look really good. All and all, another great film form the film fest.

that was amazing.

the direction was nearly flawless. i guess i spotted just one or two flaws, that's it. voice acting was as good as it gets i guess. not really perfect, cause you can clearly hear it's been recorded in a room so that takes away from the atmosphere created by the images.

just imagining how long it must've taken to capture that stock footage makes my head hurt. it looked really awesome, an ran surprisingly smooth.

talking of smooth. some scenes were pretty laggy, but that's not to blame the movie for of course. it's this 6 year old computer that caused the problem.

all in all, a really great movie with some amazing dialogue (which reminded me a bit of 'v for vendetta' for some reason), spot on direction and a great choice of music. extra points for 'somewhere over the rainbow/what a wonderful world'. have you seen 'finding forrester' by any chance..?

i use that word too much my bad, really well directed, THE CACHE SCREEN WAS TOO LONG, why did i keep looking at the guys lips i dunno why hahaha they were hypnotizing

I saw it as more of an old-timey cinematic style that the whole movie was infused with, and the two characters having their first really honest conversation. I could see where people were getting that, though. It's mainly because of who the two characters are and thus the context of the conversation that it doesn't completely read like that.

I note that I've never heard you do a voice quite like this one, yet in retrospect it seems perfect for the character. Good call.

First time I've watched a 3dmm movie in a long time that made me go "Wow, that was awesome." Good job sir. I noticed the concept seemed to go over a few people's heads. I got it, though. It made me think, which is good.

If you'd rather watch in v3dmm for the higher video quality, try the following:
1. Go into C:\Program Files\Microsoft Kids\Virtual 3DMM\Expansions and create a new folder. It doesn't matter what it's named.
2. Move all of the .vxp files into that folder.
3. Run the .vmm again. With none of your existing expansions in the expected folder, v3dmm will install everything this movie uses from scratch, meaning there won't be any expansion collisions (which is usually the cause of the error you seem to be getting).
4. When done watching the movie, delete all the .vxps it installed and move the old ones back to the Expansions folder.
