Serial killer butchering local prostitutes in my county

http://news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/england/suffolk/6169335.stm

You guys heard about this, UKers? I live around Bury St Edmunds, some way up from Ipswich, and I'm pretty surprised that such a shitty neighbourhood would have something as interesting as this happening.

James McCloud 12-11-2006 05:20 PM

Yeah, it was on the news this morning. They're making it a bit over-dramatic though, "Until someone is caught, there will be fear".

Good thing I'm not a prostitute!

Lowgain 12-11-2006 05:30 PM

that is awesome

Yeah three dead prostitutes is nothing to get worried about. Bloody drama queens.

James McCloud 12-11-2006 05:37 PM

No, that's not what I said. Saying that the people of Ipswich are living under fear is over-dramatic.

Klown 12-11-2006 05:45 PM

That quote was from a prostitute according to the news I heard this morning and no it isn't an overly dramatic statement. People get fucking scared when three women get murdered in a short time frame.

Tuna Hematoma 12-11-2006 05:46 PM

Killing prostitutes should be a sport. I'd watch it.

Molotov 12-11-2006 05:50 PM

I'm hardly surprised that the locals are being a bit dramatic about it, considering the local news of Suffolk is usually about building a new bike lane or a shop taking down its christmas lights.

James McCloud 12-11-2006 05:56 PM

I remember watching this segment once where a twister had "hit" a small town causing minor damage, and the locals were terrified.

Klown 12-11-2006 05:57 PM

Lets compare a possible serial murderer to a silly bit of weather damage.

Lyntan 12-11-2006 06:01 PM

:O i hadn't heard about the 3rd. are prostitutes in that area still doing business or what :/

Slime 12-11-2006 06:01 PM

well people would be more scared from a twister, cause the general population isn't prostitutes, so I bet most people just don't care much. The general population is hit by weather though. bbbbbbbbbbbbb

Aaron Haynes 12-11-2006 06:11 PM

Yes, it's obvious that this person is only going to be killing prostitutes, so don't worry about it, everyone else!

I was referring to the quality of news in Suffolk. I thought me posting straight after Molotov, and not quoting you, might've lead you away from thinking that.

Lyntan 12-11-2006 06:14 PM

to be fair 3/3 victims being prostitutes would reassure me if i lived in the area. i'm afraid for molotov's mum though ooohh dis

James McCloud 12-11-2006 06:16 PM

haha

Mikepjbell 12-11-2006 06:26 PM

Haha I couldn't believe it but my mum called this "cleaning up the streets"

Slime 12-11-2006 06:28 PM

Your mother has a rather twisted set of values.

Lowgain 12-11-2006 06:40 PM

and is awesome

Domicile Destructo 12-11-2006 06:44 PM

American serial killers are way cooler.

Raz 12-11-2006 07:33 PM

Hosting the 6pm news from the nearest police station? What the fuck?

Derelict Monkey 12-11-2006 07:36 PM

Tostock, a small, quiet village somewhere abouts Bury, but we're moving into the actual town of Bury soon.
