Chronicles Of Narnia: The Magician's Nephew

Started production in 2006. The first episode was basic, (Part 1), the second episode had a made-up war scene I really worked hard on back in the days lol (part 3). And part 4 and 5 uses the new models etc.
The story is adapted from C.S Lewis, my 3DMM skills got kinda better in the later episodes, but then I gave up lol. Might continue depending on the feedback. Enjoy! Meh. Sorry dude, couldn't hold my interest. I suggest studying other movies and practicing a bit more, and particularly getting better voice actors.

Any comments I make on the use of Default Scenery are kinda redundant. Try to lean more towards custom scenery as you continue. The stuff you had was kinda neat in a 90s kinda way. There's no point in pretending this could stand up to modern 3dmm movies animation or scenery wise. It doesn't, but it's something that you'll improve on over time really. It shows quite a bit of potential at least.
Most things that bug me movie-wise are really things that just plain don't fit in with my own imagination regarding the books. Default stuff aside, I'm mostly talking about the Wood Between the Worlds scene. NICE CHARN THOUGH;) The music choice and voice acting was somewhat impressive, given that most Default scene movies go hand-in-hand with Midis and Textboxes Oh, and I think Destra had a really good lion model somewhere ;) |
Im also considering doing the whole project again....with better potential etc. After watching that '9/11' 3dmm movie, it has given us a new look on 3dmm, the frame rate is the master piece.
Oh and I will be looking at the lion u mentioned :D |
Take it from me, stick to your own original stuff.
|
I was joking about the lion by the way.....You'll see if you ever find it.
In all seriousness, bringing a lion into 3dmm's gonna be somewhat difficult whatever way you look at it. If you're feeling brave you could try and HMC it. Besides that, the only real solution I can think of involves 7gen-ing Cathy Scratch beyond recognition. |

LOL, ok, someone did give me an idea of using the cat and just placing simple objects upon it......but then it looks to polygonish type etc. Oh, and 7gen etc is one hard thing i seem to never understand.....well.....at least perhaps change a slight facial feature. Anyway, thanks for the tip, will be making episode 3......and will try my best on the lion. |
Good film and good animation, but the actors, Wheres the passion!!!! wheres the effort !!!

Well, im gonna push my limits for episode 3 as MANY actions will be happening. Yep, action packed scenes so I will be doing my best (gulp). |
good luck then :P
|
Thanks. Will work on the rest soon.
|
So, i really want to ask whether if its possible to swap hairstyles between different 3dmm characters?
Thanks |
Video Google is going for good. So re-upped the vids to Youtube.
Enjoy! |
I agree that it was actually pretty good. The acting was definitely the only part, but that's amateur acting for you, we can never quite get it right. x_x
Good stuff! I applaud the effort. |
Thanks, appreciate the comment.

Best flick i've seen since 2001.
