The Lost World: Let's Keep It That Way

A long time ago I used to make movies. Fortunately, however, I stopped before I did any permanent damage to the community.

Here's a real doozie of mine dating back almost 8 years ago. Back when hand made scenes were never heard of, and a 1.92 meg file took over an hour to download. The "glory" days of 3dmm, if you will.

I just watched it for the first time in over 5-6 years, and I gotta say, the first half is painfully slow. However, by the end I was laughing my ass off - and I'm not sure why. In the last scene especially, I had completely forgotten about all the gags I had thrown in there, and really felt like I was watching it for the first time. Funny stuff seeing those "Johns" flying around the plane.

Anyway, this movie is probably best viewed as an example of how NOT to make your movies. Maybe someday I'll have time to make a movie to redeem myself of this atrocity, but until then, view this with caution.

Hahaha, I can't believe I hadn't seen this before. There's something about using people as dinosaurs that makes me uncertain on whether it was the most genius thing ever thought of, or the most absurd.

Regardless, this is actually more entertaining than some things that are released these days.

Oh, and the funniest thing is that I was imagining you doing all of the screaming in the T-rex scene, I couldn't stop laughing.

Because it's pretty vintage, I would give it a good 78%, but I think I'll rate it today's standards...Because...It is today.

I'm glad you managed to find some way to enjoy it.

You'll notice the replacement of animals with actors in a lot my movies. Bongo: Where You Are The Endangered Speicies was a film that I released almost immediately after this one, and it basically was a remake of the real life movie Congo, in which we replaced all the gorillas with Bongo.

Quote:

Man: They're out there, but what are they doing???

Group of Bongo's: DONUTS!! DONUTS!! DONUTS!!!

Man: They're smart...too damn smart...

I'll have to dig that one out and see if anyone else wants to hurt themselves watching this crap.

Whenever there are donuts, I do that "donut" thing... I DON'T CARE WHO KNOWS!!! This was one of the first movies I ever downloaded and I think I was "hovering" around the community when this was new. GREATNESS!

LOL

When Barney's in the Mall with the arrow in the back saying TO AIRFIELD, i love how he sidewalks like that, it's hilariously cute, same with him sitting on the plane, and when he just looks blindly at something with a basic frown, haha, I love it, cutest hmc ever

Samuel Deacon 01-15-2006 12:26 AM

This film has been staring at me in the movie showcase for weeks now...

The bit with Bongo as the T-Rex = LOL. Totally sold it for me.
