Pamela

"Dark, lonely streets, desperate people, copious amounts of alcohol making itself involved in every activity....this is the kind of city that will crush your dreams into fine powder and snort them off the ass of the prostitute you didn't have enough money to pay for. I'm a private detective, hired to find the perpetrator of a number of seemingly random slayings. Her name is Pamela, and she's a ghost; the frightened whisper of housewives, the desperate babbling of clients who quickly turn up dead. I'm on her trail, and I'm so close I can taste it. Or I will, when I get the distinct flavor of asphalt out of my mouth....although considering the extent of my drunken paralysis, that may not be happening any time soon." - excerpt from Detective Detective Joe Peterson's inner monologue, 2004

Originally released on September 4, 2004, as part of the Summer Film Fest.

Featuring the voice talents of Jon Barton.

Pamela won the following awards in 2004:
Best Animator (Aaron Haynes)
Best Character (Detective Detective Joe Peterson)
Best Ending
Best Scenery
Best Writer (Aaron Haynes)

Box Office Standing: #1 at 80 points.

I for one will never tire of watching Pamela.

Ned 12-04-2005 12:40 AM

You and Jon were a great team on this.

Digital Taco 12-04-2005 12:45 AM

I like this movie.

Pogo 12-04-2005 12:55 AM

You know, the great thing about this movie is that you discover new stuff on every viewing. I swear it hasn't been that long since I saw it but it still seemed like a whole new experience, like it was a whole different movie or something.

Aaron Haynes 12-04-2005 01:03 AM

WHOOPS. I put that up when Doughboy was going around downloading stuff off of people's uploaders. 'ANG ON

Edit: Fixed. Wow, that was embarrassing.

Who in their right mind would tire of Pamela. It's hilarity is genius. The animation is superb. Top-notch movie all around.

Justin Wawrzonek 12-04-2005 02:27 AM

One of my fav 3dmm movies. Wish I could make stuff like this.

I remember when I used to watch KRB like every day and I had the same experience.

Allergic 2 Life 12-05-2005 08:24 AM

i've never watched this movie before.

Zaps 12-05-2005 09:36 PM

Awesome film, and my personal favourite of 2004. I'm looking forward to The Detective, if that's still on. I can wait.

Allergic 2 Life 12-06-2005 01:19 AM

watched it, it was really good. i suck at 3dmm compared to this, everyone has gotten so much better. god damn these news TOYS.

Aaron Haynes 12-06-2005 06:54 AM

Thanks, though compared to the most recent new stuff, Pamela feels almost retro to me.

Standard, no-expansion, not-ridiculously-complex-animation 3DMM films still have a very good audience though, so don't avoid making something for the fun of it just cause the bar seems to be high.

Allergic 2 Life 12-06-2005 07:57 AM

GITS is nothing compared to movies these days, the day we release GITS is when shit started to blow up!

Sigh.

Tuna Hematoma 12-06-2005 11:54 AM

SUPERFISH!!

GITS was awesome Crabb!

Chris Walker 12-06-2005 12:21 PM

"I got my gun and started shooting....."

Class!

Molotov 12-06-2005 03:48 PM

GITS is still a great movie, Spencer.

AR-Raven 12-07-2005 02:28 AM

This was a beautiful movie that made me laugh, think, and cry.

Space Goat 03-27-2006 12:47 AM

Well, I finally watched this; one and a half years after its release. Is that sad or what? You better not answer that. Perhaps tomorrow I'll finally watch Diabolical Delightment (just kidding! ....I saw that one last week).

Anyways...this was just brilliant. After watching this and Satanik, I'm a little blown away at the artistic direction many of these popular releases have taken in the past few years. This is lightyears away from the nonsense I used to watch and direct.

Darth Fyer 01-23-2007 01:32 AM

Does anyone have a mirror for this?

Thanks.

Tuna Hematoma 01-23-2007 04:06 AM

This movie sucks, lol.

Aaron Haynes 03-12-2007 09:43 PM

A Google Video version has been added, so if you don't have 3DMM, you can watch it right here in the thread.

Old-school 3dmmers, especially from the 2000-2002 era, you might want to check this one out.

Dominator Dan 03-08-2008 11:04 PM

hahaha holy crap i just noticed that song at the end was a cover of OFFSPRING
FUNKY

i guess i'll make this bump more worth it by COMMENTING

you know i loved it but haha one thing i noticed, i found it awesome how you used the guy from DHIADW and he wouldn't know anything of Pamela cause that movie isn't a PAM AT ALL!!! yeah, i guess i'm more clever than the first time i watched it haha
