3dmm Updater - Released.

Bwala. Not sure if you have all the latest shit? BEHOLD, an answer to your problem:

The 3dmm Updater. It checks all the expansions (not VXPs) installed on your computer, and compares them against a list of most-recent expansions on stored on v3dmm.com.
If anything is out of date (or missing), it tells you and gives you a link to the installer for the update.

Have fun!

It's telling me I don't have the latest versions of Frankie's and Doraemon. When I know for a fact that I do.

Travis Wells 07-01-2005 06:22 AM

download both of these into your doraemon directory: http://v3dmm.com/downloads/sha1sum.exe
http://v3dmm.com/downloads/shaall.bat

Then run shaall.bat, and upload the sha1.txt file it makes to my server:
http://upload.3dmm2.com

Then do the same for frankie's, please.

Digital Taco 07-01-2005 06:25 AM

I just installed Doraemon from your link, and it says that it's out of date.

Lord Blazer 07-01-2005 06:27 AM

likewise

Destra 07-01-2005 06:28 AM

Done.

Oh, and I downloaded the suggested Doraemon expansion it had. Rescanned, and got the message saying it still wasn't up to date.

Salter 07-01-2005 06:30 AM

I get an error about python32.dll missing.
This one:
Grrg... I did, and it still says it.

Digital Taco 07-01-2005 06:30 AM

ALSO the Doraemon on v3dmm.com doesn't have the translated Actions

Travis Wells 07-01-2005 06:30 AM

Ahh, shite. The Doraemon on v3dmm.com is old. Lemme find a newer copy.

Travis Wells 07-01-2005 06:43 AM

I can't find a "full" copy of Doraemon, only the first release and the translation pack.
So I adjusted the download link, and fixed one incorrect hash.

Lord Blazer 07-01-2005 06:49 AM

I don't know if one exists, actually.

Travis Wells 07-01-2005 06:50 AM

I don't think it does. I'm gonna bug frankie about it when I do the updated version (which will directly download + install these expansions for you)

Slime 07-01-2005 06:54 AM

Travis - you're awesome. This is a cool idea. Its awesome that you have all these cool ideas and actually make them.

Slime 07-01-2005 06:57 AM

Wow, even my 3dmm is an old version

Travis Wells 07-01-2005 07:09 AM

That usually means you've messed around with pencil.
Or you have a virus. Either one.

Slime 07-01-2005 07:14 AM

Yikes... I dont think either... unless I used pencil a reallll long time ago.

Ill just ignore it.

Well the updater works perfect, except that at each startup I get this error message:

This application has failed to start because SDL_image.dll was not found. Reinstalling the application may fix this problem.

and then this 2 times:
This application has failed to start because SDL_mixer.dll was not found. Reinstalling the application may fix this problem.

Slime 07-01-2005 07:31 AM

You were right, I mustve used pencil. I just reinstalled it and I get the nocd program now.

But I still get those 3 error messages.

Travis Wells 07-01-2005 07:42 AM

Try this:

Slime 07-01-2005 07:51 AM

Now it works perfect, thanks!

Wahey! 100% GEWD for me. This is a great looking tool by the way, damn useful as well. 10/10.

Bown 07-01-2005 02:12 PM

It's telling me I don't have the latest version of Frankie's expansion, even though I know I do. What's going on?

Will Cheyney 07-01-2005 02:15 PM

3dmm Studio'd.

Buzvonlurt 07-01-2005 03:48 PM

Grab the translation pack.

Martin Anderson 07-01-2005 05:08 PM

just slightly off topic, but does anyone have the McZee sound files from the UK edition of 3DMM. I cant stand the american accent on the US version I have, I lost my UK version 3-4 years after I brought it back when it was released...
