This is where my work begins improving. While I didn’t have internet access, I found myself experimenting with atmosphere and pacing, making that priority over animation. I planned a fantasy epic and for the first time, began working on it from start to finish. I actually got pretty far through this movie before I accidently saved over it somehow (I can’t recall the specifics). Needless to say I was shattered, deleted the work and gave up on the film. I found this short segment from it on a disc along with another movie I worked on when I was without the internet.

Not to be confused with Don Tickner’s Epic, Silver City was intended to be a crime/action caper about a drug bust and a bank heist which both occur simultaneously and both criminals wind up together in hiding. It was predictable and everything you could expect from such a storyline. But it was a good excuse to animate action scenes, and I had fun doing so. looking back I'm actually really proud of the van/helicopter sequence. Even by today's standards. I only have the opening sequence from this film, I might have more of it on disc somewhere.

James Ballard’s Zombie movies were always something I was a fan of, so I whipped up a short opening sequence to a proposed Zombie Spinoff he and I could work together on. He seemed enthusiastic at the time, but we never discussed it again. So here is aforementioned opening sequence. And a sample animation of the creature we were contemplating working with, but didn’t.

Originally released as a teaser to promote my remake/reimagining of Once A King, this Bridge Battle sequence is now the only remaining piece of the film, which had been in development for a long time, before the last major hard drive failure that (with the alienating growth of expansions) led to my departure from 3DMM (The program not the community) This and the Freedom Guard Clip Compilation are probably the epitome of what I was capable of in 3DMM without expansions.

Just like the Once a King Bridge Battle Sequence, This Clip Compilation is now all that I have of my Freedom Guard remake. Every single character in this movie were meticulously crafted hand made characters, I put allot of effort into the detail of both the characters and the scenery. I tried to keep this very stylistic as apposed to realistic. I had a very specific cartoony atmosphere in mind for it. I only ever got about 6 minutes into what was going to be a 15-20 minute piece. Again, this is the epitome of what I am/was capable of in 3DMM without expansions.
